INSPIRED BY NATURE: FLORAL DESIGN
Thursday, September 25; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at RBG Centre. Members: $150; Non-members: $175
(Fee includes lunch and all materials)
A hands-on workshop for floral designers. Rob’s designs focus on two main areas: decorative and vegetative. While designing a decorative arrangement, flowers and leaves are combined with other natural materials to express personal creativity, and the possibilities are limitless. In vegetative arrangements, flowers and foliage play the leading role and their natural characteristics must be respected. Rob has several natural designs on hand which he uses to interpret his approach and then participants create two designs using flowers, greens and natural materials. Once completed, he critiques each creation, helping participants to gain insight and improve their techniques.
