Gift certificates are available for purchase online at secure.rbg.ca, in-person at RBG Centre, or over the phone at 905-527-1157.

Note: physical gift certificates are only available in-person. We are unable to mail out physical gift certificates for online or over the phone purchases. Instead, we have a number of digital templates you can fill in the details (from your confirmation email) to either print at home, or send digitally by email.

Gift Certificates are redeemable online at secure.rbg.ca, in-person at any RBG garden area, or over the phone.

• In Person: Simply provide the certificate / confirmation email that notes the certificate number and we can apply it to the purchase of your choice.
• Online: Add the desired items to your cart, and proceed to the payment page. Scroll to the gift certificate section, and add the “gift certificate number” noted on your physical gift certificate, or the confirmation email for the digital certificate.
• By Phone: get in touch with our Guest Services centre during standard hours of business, and at time of payment simply read off the “gift certificate number” noted on your physical gift certificate, or the confirmation email for the digital certificate.

Gift Certificates are redeemable for a number of RBG experiences, including anything available from secure.rbg.ca including:

• Memberships
• Garden or exhibit admission
• Special Event Tickets
• Courses & Workshops
• Camps
• Donations

Certificates are not valid for use at RBG’s Shop at the Gardens, on-site food and beverage offerings, or select culinary events booking through OpenTable. For questions regarding product eligibility, please get in touch.

What’s the difference between a membership gift certificate and a standard gift certificate?

In short, nothing! We offer a separate page / design for membership gift certificates with pre-determined amounts to help in your selection, and to indicate the intended use of this gift to the recipient. However, if the recipient already has a membership or wishes to use that certificate for something else, they are welcome do so using the same redemption steps noted above.

We strongly encourage recipients to keep track of their gift certificates as they would cash.

For certificates purchased online, RBG may be able to look up the certificate number using specific information regarding the purchaser, however this is not a guarantee. RBG does not collect purchaser information for in-person purchasers, and so will be unable to assist in lost certificates in these instances.

Legacy gift cards (plastic cards) are redeemable in-person at RBG Centre, Shop at the Gardens, and RBG’s restaurants. The cards are not redeemable online for upcoming tickets and programs.
