All of RBG’s indoor and outdoor garden areas are open to the public and we are thrilled to welcome everyone back safely for an exciting summer! Fantastic sights of perfect perennials are sprouting at the Rock Garden and flourishing flowers at Hendrie Park with the Rose Collection in bloom!
Visitor safety is our top priority and staff are working to ensure you can unwind, connect and explore the beauty of RBG in the safest possible way.
Masks are required to enter RBG’s indoor spaces, including washrooms, Shop @ the Gardens, and on-site restaurants. Please wear a mask outdoors when you are unable to keep your distance from others.
Seeing The Invisible
Launching September 2021
The most ambitious and expansive exhibition to date of contemporary artworks created with augmented reality (AR) technology will premiere at Royal Botanical Gardens in September 2021 as one of 12 participating gardens across six countries and the only location in Canada.
Seeing the Invisible features new works by more than a dozen international artists including Ai Weiwei, Refik Anadol, El Anatsui, Mohammed Kazem, Sigalit Landau, Sarah Meyohas, Pamela Rosenkranz, and Timur Si-Qin—including several artists’ firsts works in AR.
