Garden Admission
Royal Botanical Gardens is Canada’s largest, with over 2,400 acres of gardens and nature sanctuary that spans Hamilton and Burlington Ontario. Garden Admission applies for access to Hendrie Park, RBG Centre, Laking Garden, and Rock Garden. Admission also applies to the Arboretum during bloom season.

Access 2 Cardholders purchasing garden admission tickets receive one free admission for their support person. For online tickets, purchase admissions for the cardholder, and the support person will be accommodated at the door.

What is included in Garden Admission?
Full Garden Admission includes access to all RBG’s formal garden areas open on the day of your visit. This includes:
- RBG Centre
- Hendrie Park
- Rock Garden
- Laking Garden (open seasonally, check rbg.ca/hours for updates)
Single Garden Admission provides access to either Rock Garden or Laking Garden.
All garden admissions also includes any Discovery Programming scheduled for the day.
NOTE: Not all RBG experiences are covered by garden admission; many events, exhibits, and programs require specific tickets, and in some cases, timed-ticketing. See the individual offerings at rbg.ca/events for details.
Where can I purchase Garden Admission?
Garden Admission tickets are available for purchase online, or at the entrance of any garden area (RBG Centre, Rock Garden, Laking Garden).
Do I need garden admission to access the trails?
Garden admission is not required for hiking RBG’s trails; parking fees do apply at all RBG trailheads.
Please note: time-ticketed parking reservations are required for visiting the Arboretum during peak bloom season. See rbg.ca/arboretum for details.
How do I upgrade my admission tickets to an RBG Membership?
During your visit, you can use your garden admission tickets towards the cost of a membership! Bring your receipt / online tickets to the membership desk at RBG Centre, and they will help assist you with your new membership.
Do I require garden admission tickets if I have a membership?
For a garden admission visit during regular operating hours, RBG Members simply present their Membership Card and a valid photo ID upon entry to each garden area.
Any special event or time-ticketed visit does require a separate registration. See the details for the specific event at rbg.ca/events.
