Giving a Gift

Here at Royal Botanical Gardens, we understand that donating is an extremely personal decision. Gifts come in all shapes and sizes. Find out below about the ways you can contribute to RBG.

Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) is the largest botanical garden in Canada, a National Historic Site, and registered charitable organization with a mandate to bring together people, plants and nature. By supporting Royal Botanical Gardens, you give the children of today and tomorrow the gift of nature.

Support our Area of Greatest Need:
“Growing Up Green”

With a donation to Growing up Green, your gift will directly support our operations by funding horticulture and conservation initiatives, along with our award-winning educational programming. Your special gift will ensure that our gardens, our trails and natural areas, our programs and our services will be here for everyone to enjoy long into the future.

Donating Property Other than Cash (Gifts-in-Kind)

Gifts-in-kind, also referred to as in-kind donations are contributions of goods. Items such as books, artwork, gardening equipment and more can be given to RBG in exchange for a tax-receipt at fair market value or appraised value. Services can be donated by way of a cheque exchange. Semi-annually (in June and December), RBG reviews application and will contact interested parties who wish to donate items or services. If you have an item or a service you wish to donate, please review our gift-in-kind policy and compete our gift-in-kind form.
