RBG is home to 1,100 hectares of nature reserve nestled between Hamilton and Burlington. Enjoy a hike along our nature trails along Cootes Paradise, the Niagara Escarpment, and the Grindstone Creek Valley. Looking for someone to help show you the way? Join our FREE guided Back to Nature Hikes each Sunday. Trails are free to hike, parking charges apply.

Explore on the water to get a glimpse of the astounding life that depends on the health of the marsh for its survival! Bring your own craft, or register for Paddling in Paradise, a two-hour guided tour where you can learn about RBG’s conservation efforts, wetland plants and wildlife.

Royal Botanical Gardens provides easy access to some of the most diverse birding in Ontario! Annually about 300 species can be observed, most are migrants, with about 100 species found on site in the summer. Trails are free to hike, parking charges apply.
