Greenhouse Café

Open Daily, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

At the Greenhouse Café you’ll find fresh, seasonal ingredients on a new menu that incorporates local produce, meats and cheeses and features wines and craft brews exclusive to Ontario. At the rear of the restaurant, the Wentworth Elm Tasting Room is a cozy spot for private functions and more intimate gatherings.

Turner Pavilion Teahouse

Open During Winter Wonders (Nov 24 to Jan 9); Monday & Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Surrounded by Hendrie Park‘s new, innovative Rose Garden, the Teahouse offers an ideal spot to relax in nature’s tranquility while enjoying a light snack and a cup of soothing tea. Join us on our new patio!

Rock Garden Café

Situated at the historic David Braley and Nancy Gordon Rock Garden, RBG’s newest restaurant features an eclectic menu that boasts fresh, locally sourced ingredients, many picked straight from our gardens! The café’s outdoor patio provides an inspiring bird’s-eye view of the garden’s rejuvenated lower bowl, a perfect spot to relax.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I required to be vaccinated to enter RBG?

Effective November 15, RBG requires all visitors aged 12 and up, including all indoor and outdoor areas of RBG Centre, Hendrie Park, Rock Garden, and Laking Garden to prove they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This also includes those dining at the Greenhouse Cafe, attending on-site events and public programs, or visiting Shop at the Gardens.

What proof of vaccination is required?

Please be prepared to present receipt of full COVID-19 vaccination, and official government-issued ID showing name and date of birth, upon entry to the Gardens, public programs, on-site restaurants, and special events.

You can download official vaccination receipts from the Government of Ontario’s vaccine booking portal or present the official immunization receipt received at least 14 days after your final vaccine dose.

If you are visiting from outside of Ontario and have proof of vaccination from another province, territory or country, it is valid if you can show you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with documentation that includes your name, date of birth, number of doses, and the name of the vaccine you received. Please visit the Ontario.ca website for more information.

What if I have an approved medical exemption?

RBG will accept written medical exemptions as outlined by the Province of Ontario. Please visit ontario.ca for more information and be prepared to produce the document on arrival.

Visitors who do not present an official vaccination receipt, or accepted documentation of medical exemption, will not be allowed entry.

I am not vaccinated and I already have tickets booked. What are my options?

If you have general admission or special event tickets, you are eligible for a refund. Please contact us at programs@rbg.ca.

If you are an RBG Member, please contact our Membership team at membership@rbg.ca or call at 905-527-1158 and ask to speak to a membership representative.

If you have a dining reservation at the Greenhouse Café, please contact 905-527-1158 ext. 333.

Do I need to wear a mask?

In accordance with Hamilton and Halton bylaws, masks are required to enter all RBG’s indoor spaces, including washrooms, Shop at the Gardens, Mediterranean Garden, and on-site restaurants. Please wear a mask outdoors when you are unable to keep your distance from others.
