Event Description

Lauren Anastasi, working with the philosophy of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, guides you to focus on the physical experience of walking and to be aware of our thoughts, feelings and sensations, as well as commune with nature. This practice can help reduce stress and increase positive emotions. The class includes instruction and 45 minutes of walking at a relaxed pace. Meeting locations vary for each class.

  • Fee: $16.50 + $1 Service Fee & HST (Members 10% off)

Instructor: Lauren Anastasi

Instructor Bio

Lauren Anastasi has been teaching yoga and meditation for almost 20 years.  She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from York University. She has a keen interest in the relationship between mind and body. Through her yoga teaching and practice with Esther Myers Yoga Studio, she was introduced to the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and was fortunate to have studied with him and his monastics on retreat in 2013 at Brock University. She leads Mindfulness Walks utilizing these teachings and incorporates years of experience leading groups in movement and facilitating meditation. She has been a member of the RBG since she moved to Hamilton with her sweet family in 2014.
