Your nature, their future

What is the 1941 Club?

It all began over 80 years ago, in 1941, when early conservationist and founder Thomas Baker McQuesten, worked tirelessly to ensure RBG’s lands were set aside to create the region’s first botanical garden.

This idea would leave a lasting influence on those who came after Thomas Baker McQuesten and prove to be the humble beginnings of what would become a lasting legacy for future generations.

When you leave a legacy gift to Royal Botanical Gardens, you help sustain RBG’s acclaimed horticulture, conservationscience, and educational programming that connect people, plants, and place for generations to come.

Join our special club that honours those who choose to make a legacy gift to RBG.

1941 Club members enjoy these benefits:

  • RBG Annual Update with CEO: Reception with other 1941 Club members
  • Invitations to special events and behind the scenes tours
  • Regular updates on what is happening across Royal Botanical Gardens
  • Annual recognition in our Donor Accountability Report
