Mission Monarch Leader Workshop

6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; RBG Centre

Help Monarchs. It’s easy as 1, 2, 3!

  1. Learn about monarch biology, the threats and what you can do about including how to…
  2. Observe and identify milkweed species and monarch life cycle stages and…
  3. Report your sightings on Mission Monarch.

Want to help monarchs? Join André-Philippe Drapeau Picard (MSc), Coordinator of Mission Monarch, to learn about Monarch biology, population status, threats and actions you can take. Use this training to get other Monarch enthusiasts involved observing and reporting Monarch breeding during the summer. Those that take this workshop will invited to take part of the International Monarch Monitoring Blitz at RBG on Sunday, July 28.

We’ll be inside for a portion of the workshop and then outside practicing. Please be prepared for the weather and wear closed toed shoes. Space is very limited. Adult-only workshop.

Parking and Directions

RBG cosists of four formal gardens contained within 1,100 hectares of nature reserve. Parking is available at the various garden areas and trailheads.
