Set the stage for an unforgettable event in the Royal Botanical Gardens’ largest and most versatile indoor venue. The RBG Centre Auditorium offers an impressive 5,400 sq. ft. of adaptable event space, perfect for conferences, banquets, presentations, and large corporate gatherings.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the auditorium can be used as a single expansive room or divided into two smaller spaces, each ideal for breakout sessions or parallel programming.

The Great Room at the David Braley & Nancy Gordon Rock Garden is an award-winning, state-of-the art facility with a breathtaking view of the gardens through floor-to-ceiling windows, a look-out deck and patio.

Located at RBG Centre with 1,443 sq. ft. of adaptable space and seating for up to 70 guests in banquet style, the Café Annex is perfectly suited for gatherings that call for comfort, connection, and a relaxed ambiance. Fully AV‑equipped, it provides a seamless setup for presentations, breakout sessions, or collaborative discussions.

Please note that all bookings require a minimum food and beverage spend of $1,850 + HST and 17% service fee.

Catering

All catering is provided by RBG’s exclusive on-site caterer, offering customizable options to suit your event’s needs. Looking for something specific? Get in touch and let us bring your vision to life. Full bar service is also available, with all venues fully licensed.

Parking and Transit

All event bookings include free parking in the large lots at RBG Centre or Rock Garden (depending on where your event is held). Both locations are also accessible by bus via Burlington Transit. Learn more on the Directions & Parking page.

What's Included in the Rental Fee?

Event bookings include everything you need for a seamless, stress-free event at Royal Botanical Gardens:

  • Corporate events include up to 11 hours of venue access, including:
      • 2 hours prior to your event for setup
      • Up to 8 hours of event time
      • 1 hour following the event for cleanup
  • Complimentary parking for all attendees
  • Standard table and chair setups, including banquet chairs, 62” round tables, 6’ tables, and up to five cocktail and operational tables as required (chair style varies by location)
  • Glassware, dinnerware, when purchasing RBG catering,
  • Choice of black or white linens for all tables
  • Guest access to the gardens, offering a beautiful backdrop throughout your event
  • Directional signage to help guide your attendees with ease
  • Existing potted plants within your event space (placement subject to horticultural team discretion; not intended as centerpieces)

Audio-Visual Services (Add On)

AV equipment is available in all venues for an additional fee, providing the tools you need for presentations and virtual connections.

Location and Directions

Royal Botanical Gardens consists of over 1,100 hectares of property on the border of Hamilton and Burlington Ontario.

The majority of the venue spaces are located at RBG Centre, 680 Plains Road West, Burlington. The Great Room at the Rock Garden is located at 1185 York Boulevard Hamilton (a few kilometers down the road from RBG Centre. Both venues are minutes from the 403 and QEW.
