Community Donation Program
Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) is proud to support charitable organizations and verified community non-profits that advance environmental stewardship, education, and community enrichment with a donation to support their fundraiser.
This page provides everything you need to know to apply for an in‑kind donation of an RBG Membership or Garden Admission Passes through our Community Donation Program.
RBG will provide up to 5 donations per month, per calendar year.
Eligibility
To qualify for an in-kind donation from the Community Donation Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a registered charitable organization or a verified community non-profit.
- Must demonstrate mission alignment with RBG’s focus on environmental stewardship, education, and/or community and cultural enrichment.
- Must clearly describe how RBG’s in-kind donation will help the organization achieve its charitable or fundraising goals.
- Applications must be received no less than 2 months prior to the event date.
- Requests are reviewed on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
- One request allowed per organization per calendar year.
- Donation type is determined by RBG based on inventory, availability, and the event’s purpose.
How to Apply
Submit through the online application form below. You will require the following information:
- Provide formal request letter on official organization letterhead.
- Provide event details (purpose, date, location, expected attendance, and intended use of the donation).
- Describe how their initiative aligns to RBG’s Mission. Preference is given to organizations that advance environmental stewardship, education and community and/or cultural enrichment.
- Describe how the donation will help the organization achieve its charitable or fundraising goals.
Timeline
Applications are reviewed at the end of each calendar month. Please allow adequate time once a complete application is received. Requests must be submitted at least two (2) months prior to the event date.
