Children’s Education and Youth Programs Fund
Every day, children arrive at Royal Botanical Gardens full of wonder. They come here to touch, to explore, to ask big questions. They jump into adventure. They laugh. They learn. They grow.
For more than 75 years, RBG’s Education Programs have helped kids discover the magic of nature. We don’t just teach facts, we build real connections. We spark curiosity. We grow confidence. We help them see that they can make a difference in the world.
We see students return year after year. Sometimes we see whole families come through. And you know what? They’re thrilled to be back. Because learning at RBG is like nowhere else.

Our education team and programs are growing again, but only with your help. This fall, we’re launching new school education programs. They’re hands-on, with strong ties to Ontario’s curriculum, and built to inspire the next generation of Earth stewards.
Students will explore biodiversity, invasive species and climate change. They will even learn how you can grow food in space! We’ll show them what’s possible and what they can do to help our planet.
We want to reach more kids, in more schools, in more communities and your gift today can make that happen. When you donate, you’re not just giving money. You are becoming a hero to these kids.
At RBG, kids don’t just learn about nature—they live it.
Instead of sitting in a classroom, they step into forests, wetlands, and gardens. They touch. They smell. They explore. They wonder. Whether they’re collecting bugs, hiking with a guide, or listening to stories under the trees, every moment sparks a sense of discovery. Even our littlest learners, kindergarteners and preschoolers, become confident explorers of the natural world.
It’s hands-on learning that sticks.
These outdoor programs help students, from toddlers to teens, connect with science, conservation, and the environment in unforgettable ways. They follow Ontario’s curriculum, but in the best classroom of all: the living, breathing landscape of RBG. When kids experience nature up close, they don’t just learn about ecosystems and plant life, they care. And that changes everything.
With your donation, we’ll reach more bilingual learners, more curious minds, and more kids who’ve never stepped off the pavement into a forest.
We’ll even connect with classrooms across Canada and the world through virtual learning. We’ll give these teachers new tools to take their students into nature and out of the classroom. We’ll make learning fun, real and unforgettable.
When you support RBG’s education programs, you’re not just giving today. You plant seeds for life.
