Virtual Field Trip Programs at RBG

No matter where you are, your class can interact with our educators and scientists and explore topics like biodiversity, conservation, botany, plant ecology and the environment.

Experience engaging programs using videoconferencing and Internet technologies — it’s the next best thing to being here! These award-winning interactive programs are plant-based and linked to your curriculum – no matter where you are. Teachers receive packages with a presentation outline, and pre– and post– conference activities.

Special Presentations:
  • Careers in Botany, Conservation and Horticulture (Gr. 7 to 12): Want to work in a herbarium, be an aquatic or terrestrial ecologist or discover the world of taxonomy and horticulture? Let us introduce you to two of our staff members and the work that they love. By request only.

To request a program complete the registration sheet and fax it to our Education Officer or go to CILC (www.cilc.org) and request a program.

On-site Videoconferences at RBG

Want to try videoconferencing, but don’t have the technology in your school? Come and use ours. In consultation with you we will find a program which complements your curriculum, from dinosaurs to art, math, climate change or marine biology. Available December to March. Fee starts at $250/class; actual fee is based on program chosen. Please allow at least one month for consultation and scheduling.
