Tickets are available for purchase at the door or online. We encourage you to purchase your tickets online as it helps us to better prepare for the event and makes your registration process quicker when you arrive.

  • Charming Gardens*: Create your own fairy-sized garden.
  • Precious Pendants*: Fashion a costume accessory.
  • Enchanted Seeds*: Select seeds to attract enchanted creatures.
  • Pixie Post Office: Send a note to a magical friend.
  • Tinker Treats$: Buy some snacks or drinks.
  • Mystical Faces: Have your face painted.
  • Wishing Bridge: Make your wish come true.
  • Doors to a Secret World: Search for portals to magic.
  • Garden Games: Play outdoor games.
  • Captivating Entertainment: Enjoy dazzling spectacles.

Meet the Mystical Creatures

Forest Creatures

Melody the Birdsong Fairy

Melody visits baby birds before they hatch to teach them their special songs. She hums and sings their melodies flying from nest to nest. She wears many feathers to blend in with the forest birds she loves.

Auburn the Autumn Fairy

Auburn helps prepare the forest for winter. She helps the trees change the colour of their leaves and guides forest creatures to their hibernations spots.She blends into the trees by wearing fall leaves.

Wetland Creatures

Anura the Frog Sprite

Anura spends her time basking in the sun of her wetland home. She protects her tadpole friends and teaches new frogs how to jump and sing. Her big eyes are always open to find new froggy friends.

Lola the Waterlily Nymph

Lola lives in the marsh and watches over all water creatures. She spends her days bouncing between lily pads to make sure they are healthy. She blends into her wetland home by wearing white and green.

Meadow Creatures

Ella the Echinacea Fairy

Ella lives in the meadows and travels to all the Echinacea plants, giving them nectar for pollinators and medicinal magic for humans. She wears a flower petal skirt and a pollinator friend sits on her shoulder.

Rosie the Rose Fairy

Rosie loves the colour and scent of wild roses of the meadow. While dressed in pink, she paints the flowers their special colours. With her magic, she gives each bloom its beautiful fragrance to attract pollinators.

Garden Creatures

Pippa the Pumpkin Pixie

Pippa is a pumpkin protector. She keeps pets away from pumpkins and other garden squash. She wears orange to inspire the pumpkins to grow big and healthy. She saves their seeds to grow new pumpkins next year.

Sweet Pea the Elf

Sweet Pea works in Santa’s gardens most of the year and is spreading holiday cheer in our gardens while on her summer vacation. She dresses in traditional holiday elfwear with summer shades and a fanny pack.

Tickets >>

Tickets are available for purchase at the door, or online, though we do encourage online purchases as this both helps us better prepare for the event and provides a quicker registration process the day of.

RBG Members and those with pre-purchased general admission passes will only be required to pay a $5 per person event charge.

During the online purchasing process, you will be asked to select a day (Saturday, Sunday or Monday). Please purchase tickets for the day you are intending to attend, however should something come up and your plans change, tickets will be accepted on either date of the event.

Weather >>

The Enchanted Garden Weekend is held rain or shine and is 100% outdoors, so come prepared for the weather! RBG reserves the right to cancel the event due to inclement weather.

Directions and Parking >>

This event is held at the historic Rock Garden, 1185 York Blvd. Hamilton. Parking is included, available in the lot across the street. This garden is located along bus routs for Burlington Transit and Hamilton Transit, with stops a short distance from the entrance. See rbg.ca/directions for more details.

Event Length and Timing >>

The Enchanted Garden weekend is available for drop-in from 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Last entry for participation in the event is 3 p.m.

RBG's garden areas are open until 8 p.m. this weekend, so be sure to take advantage of the general admission included in your ticket price, and see them all! Find an outline of our garden areas at rbg.ca/gardensandtrails

Food >>

The Rock Garden Café will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., serving an eclectic menu that boasts fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Learn more and view the menu at rbg.ca/dine

Accessibility >>

The newly rejuvenated Rock Garden features some wide, paved paths that descend with a slope into the lower bowl of the garden. Some activities will take place on grassy areas. If you have any questions about accessibility at this event, please contact us at 905-527-1158.

Pets / Service Animals >>

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the Enchanted Garden Weekend but must remain leashed at all times. Any pets found disrupting the event or other guests may be asked to leave.

Garden Music Nights
