Growing up Green & Green Angels – We need your support!
Growing Up Green
You can help us Plant Seeds for Life! With a donation to Growing up Green, you can ensure an active, vibrant and healthy future for the children of today and tomorrow through our horticultural and conservation projects and award-winning educational programming. These initiatives work to sustain and provide even more green spaces for our children, allowing them the opportunity to fall in love with nature. Every dollar makes a difference.
You can be a Green Angel to a child in need today! With a donation to the Green Angels fund you can help us provide the opportunity for every child to fall in love with nature. Your donation will provide the helping hands that guide disadvantaged, special needs and new Canadian children to that magical place where they can explore, learn and let their imagination grow in a safe environment – the natural world of Royal Botanical Gardens.
Your donation subsidizes:
- School and children's programming
- School transportation costs
- Admission passes
The Green Angels program services the catchment areas of Hamilton and Halton Regions. Due to the limited financial resources, we only service these regions, however when we have raised more funds for the program, then we can expand our reach.

Green Angels Society
Gifts of any denomination can be made to the fund, but realizing the importance of this project and that donors may wish to do more, it is with gratitude that we honor donors who have made a contribution of $500 or greater through the Green Angels Society. The Society is our way of saying thank you and encouraging others to follow in our donors’ footsteps. Society membership recognizes the direct role donors play in connecting children and their families to nature.
Members of the Green Angels Society enjoy the following benefits:
- An income tax receipt for their gift
- An invite to RBG's Annual General Meeting
- Society membership pin
- Recognition in RBG's Annual Report to the Community
- Recognition on RBG's website as a Member of the Society
- A special invitation to a members-only reception where we celebrate the impact of their gifts

Legacy Giving Program
Royal Botanical Gardens depends on its members, donors and volunteers to continue our important charitable work. Our Legacy Program is a way to show your commitment now, without affecting your income today. Legacy gifts can take many forms: a bequest, charitable gift annuity, RRSP/RRIF or life insurance policy. Each of these options can provide a significant tax advantage and RBG recommends donors seek legal and financial planning advice when making such a gift.
To learn more about how you can make a planned gift and/or other tax-saving giving options, please call 905-527-1158 (1-800-694-4769), ext. 295.
RBG Tribute and Memorial Program
Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to cherish today’s events and yesterday’s memories. Gifts of any denomination can be made in memory of a loved one or to honour an event, individual or family. Every tribute gift is acknowledged with a card sent to the honoured individual or next of kin. Additional recognition is provided in RBG’s Paradise Found and Annual Report to the community.
RBG has additional donor tribute options in our various gardens, including the new David Braley and Nancy Gordon Rock Garden, through our Tribute and Memorial Tree and Bench Program. To learn more about this program, please call 905-527-1158 (1-800-694-4769), ext. 229.
