YES Alliance
YES Alliance (Young Environmental Science Alliance)
If you’re a high-school student who is passionate about nature, interested in environmental science, or aspiring to a career spent outdoors, join RBG for the fourth installment of Young Environmental Science (YES) Alliance.
The club meets every two weeks Saturday from October 2022 to June 2023.
Venture into natural environments while learning from professionals. Become part of a team of forward-thinking “ambassadors for nature,” while furthering your education in the environmental sector. This hands-on, active, but laid back and immersive program promises to explore all of the opportunities available to you at school and in your future career.

Calling all students in grades 9 and up who have an interest in pursuing environmental sciences in post secondary, but also just anyone with a passion for the outdoors. We celebrate all of the nature lovers! The YES Alliance is now accepting applicants!
Starting in October and ending in June, the group will meet every two weeks and casually delve into the world of the environmental sciences as we explore the grounds of Royal Botanical Gardens’ 2700 acres of space. Programs are mostly outdoors, several are very hands-on, and members can expect to earn from 12 to 20 volunteer hours depending on the schedule.
In its 8th year as a club, this group welcomes youth from around the region to be part of something that helps propel them towards a future of possibilities in education and the environmental science sector.

Camp Leadership Development Program
Have the fun of camp but reap the benefits of being a leader! Work with an enthusiastic staff team who share a common interest and learn more about the environment, camping and working with children.
Junior Naturalists Club
RBG partners with Hamilton Naturalists’ Club for fun and adventure while exploring the ravines, forests, fields and wetlands of RBG. These outdoor sessions are 2.5 hours long and are themed to match the season and hiking location.
Volunteering
RBG is always looking for volunteers interested in making a difference in their community and in the natural world.
