Event Description

One of RBG’s Courses & Workshops

Take a walk in the garden and enjoy discussions from complimentary horticultural and botanical perspectives on the native plants of Ontario with Charlie Briggs, Arborist and Nadia Cavallin, Field Botanist and Herbarium Curator. Charlie will show how native plants are beneficial to your garden, point out the pollinators using them, and discuss how you can connect your garden to the broader ecological landscape. Nadia will talk about how to identify these species and about their life in the wild. Each participant will receive a native plant and care instructions.

Part 1: Herbaceous Plants of Hendrie
Saturday, September 11; 9 to 12 a.m.
Location: Hendrie Park

Part 2: Shrubs of the Arboretum
Saturday, September 11; 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Arboretum

This program will be taking place outdoors.

Rain date: Sunday, September 12

Fee: $35 each + Service Fee (Members 10% off*)
