Frogs! In Modern Batik Painting (for kids)
Event Description
One of RBG’s Courses & Workshops
This wild and ribbiting workshop is all about finding your inner artistic discovery, expressing personal creativity and experimenting with self-expression. Join artist Deon Best in making a Frogs! inspired 10”x10” resistant dyed painting using modern processes of African Batik by applying wax and dye to fabric. All material included. Suitable for ages 8 to 12.
Fee: $85 includes (one youth and one adult) + Service Fee (Members 10% off*)

Deon Best is a multidisciplinary artist and instructor. His portfolio covers a wide range of artistic mediums, with his current focus – Modern Batik Art. This unique traditional East African style of Fabric Art is as much about the process, as it is the final product. Deon Best is one of the premiere Modern Batik Artist in Canada located in Brampton, ON. Over the last decade Deon Best has taught over 400 students from all backgrounds, ages and skill levels.
