Pets are admitted free to our outdoor garden areas and must be leashed at all times. Pets are not allowed in RBG buildings.
Admission fees do not apply to trail users. Trail users are required to pay for parking by using the parking meters available at all trailheads. Alternatively, day parking passes can be purchased from any kiosk.
Policy for Accessibility
Royal Botanical Gardens is committed to accessibility for all visitors. All service and companion animals are permitted in all buildings and garden areas. Wheelchairs are available for use free of charge with identification at the main kiosk/information desk in RBG Centre.
Please note: Due to mechanical upgrades, the elevator located in RBG Centre’s Mediterranean Garden will be temporarily out of order until further notice. This will limit access to the second level of the Mediterranean Garden.
General Admission
Persons with disabilities are required to pay full general admission and one attendant/caregiver will receive complimentary admission.
Membership
All members are permitted unlimited entry to the gardens as a benefit of membership. Members with disabilities are permitted to bring one attendant/caregiver free of charge.

No Smoking Policy
Effective January 1, 2012, Royal Botanical Gardens and its property is smoke-free. Smoking is prohibited in all properties owned by Royal Botanical Gardens. This includes all buildings, common work areas, garden areas, natural lands, trails and parking areas including vehicles. All visitors to Royal Botanical Gardens must leave Royal Botanical Gardens property in order to smoke.
Dog Policy
Royal Botanical Gardens allows dogs in the following areas; Hendrie Park, Rock Garden, Arboretum and all trails. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Please be responsible and clean up after your dog. Although dogs are not permitted in RBG Centre (with the exception of working animals), dogs are permitted to enter RBG Centre for the exclusive purpose of entering Hendrie Park. Dogs may enter RBG Centre through the main doors and be lead through the Camilla & Peter Daglish Atrium to the tunnel to Hendrie Park.
