- Yellow or white flowers.
- Front of flower has a cup-shaped part called the corona.
- The deep corona is longer than the petals.
- Stems can reach 50 centimetres tall and hold one flower.

These flowers are named for the mythical Greek youth, Narcissus, who looked into a clear pool and fell in love with his own reflection. He died as he sat there staring at himself. The flower that bears his name sprang up in his place, where it could continue to gaze into the water. |
