Throughout the year, Art Gallery of Hamilton presents an engaging line-up of historical and contemporary art exhibitions. The exhibitions offer the viewer treasures from Canada’s most loved artists, glimpses into private collections, creations by international contemporary artists and works by the world’s great masters. In 2008, the AGH and TD Bank Financial Group present Inspiration East, a celebration of Asian arts and culture that culminates in the summer with six exhibitions that include historical Japanese kimonos, contemporary Japanese art, private collections of historical Japanese ceramics and modern Chinese painting and an examination of Asian art’s influence on the great master Edgar Degas.
