Annual Fund
Royal Botanical Gardens property — 250 acres of cultivated gardens and 2,450 acres of natural lands — is ecologically unique and located within one of the most populated areas of Ontario.

Donated funds help us to carry on work that is vital. Support contributes to the health of the planet by helping us to ensure the survival of plants, protect threatened species, document the diversity of plant life within Royal Botanical Gardens' nature sanctuaries, aquatic habitat management and restoration, and providing public educational programs that explore the various ways plants and nature touch our lives.

How your gift makes a difference
Royal Botanical Gardens is a living museum responsible for both cultivated gardens and natural lands. General donations are vital. Here are just a few ways in which your donation helps the Gardens fulfill its mandate, and help others to have a better, more meaningful experience.

$25 feeds the turtles in our Nature Interpretive Centre for three months.

$50 buys five of the latest perennials for display in one of our garden parks.

$75 buys seed for our children’s gardening programs.

$100 allows us to seek out an exotic plant for Royal Botanical Gardens indoor Mediterranean Garden.

$500 helps us acquire new books for our reference library.

$1000 provides an interpretive display panel that highlights significant species found in our collections and nature sanctuaries.

$5000 creates a new interactive Discovery Cart, providing countless hours of fun and education for visiting families.

$6500 buys a motorized all-terrain wheelchair to use on the trails and garden paths.
