Education Programs
Experience the Gardens’ outdoor classroom year-round! Our education programs are built around Cootes Paradise and the Arboretum, which boasts 12 kilometres of nature trails. Participants are involved in a variety of fun and educational activities. The two-hour programs are seasonally based and cover a variety of topics, such as birds, weather, habitats and seasonal cycles.

In 2010:
Along with our many curriculum-based school programs, watch for these special activities:
• 2010 is International Year for Biological Diversity and we’ll have special programming all year to celebrate biodiversity around the world and here, in Canada’s biodiversity hotspot.
• Take your students on an Amazon Voyage between February 6 and April 11, 2010, right here at RBG. Developed by the Miami Science Centre and Aquarium, this 5000 sq. ft. exhibition explores the seven perils of the Amazon River. Learn about the river’s ecosystems and residents with interactive displays, live animals and exciting curriculum-based programs.
