Whether you’re a carnivore or herbivore the Gardens Café is cooking up some delicious brunch that would satisfy even the hungriest of beasts. Enjoy dino-themed activities amongst the dino-décor while you satisfy your appetite, and then spend the rest of the day at Dinosaurs: Battle of the Titans!

RBG’s famous Easter Brunch returns. Stroll through the Gardens and catch some early blooms, then join us in the Café for a delicious spread, followed by a dino egg hunt with the Easter Bunny for the kids.

Members! Help yourselves to our mulch — a small donation offsets the cost of providing this opportunity. Bring your own containers, shovel or scoop and be sure to bring along your membership card as this event is exclusive to RBG members.

10:00 AM | Nature Interpretive Center, Arboretum

RBG is teaming up with Earth Day Hamilton to rejuvenate a section of marsh shore that is heavily used for youth education, and science. The project includes a new boardwalk, floating dock, and interpretation areas for camps and visitors. Come out and help us replace non-native invasive plants with native trees and shrubs, hear from professionals about the Health of the Great Lakes, enjoy BBQ food, guided hikes, and other activities for the kids.

The award-winning Zimbabwean stone sculpture exhibit, ZimSculpt, returns to Royal Botanical Gardens. Mining the richness of Zimbabwe’s geology, featured artists will create powerful works of art that depict the stories of the natural world and the culture and traditions of their home land, as well as abstract forms that are powerfully evocative.

Teddy Bear Picnic

Bring along your furry friends, a picnic snack, and enjoy a day full of teddy bear-themed activities. Get your face painted, go on a famous bear scavenger hunt, and meet a life-sized teddy!

Holiday Traditions Featuring the RBG Train Show
RBG Centre

Celebrate winter at RBG with Holiday Traditions, RBG’s annual holiday season event featuring an ALL NEW and extensive botanical model train installation throughout RBG Centre and cleverly themed, decorated doors. Weekends are filled with seasonal activities, musical entertainment, local school and adult choirs, light and model train displays, and of course, a traditional Santa.
