The University of British Columbia Botanical Garden is a the leader in the Rare Plants of British Columbia program, involving undergraduate and graduate students, staff and volunteers, keeping track of rare plants of British Columbia, studies on their status in nature, propagation and trying to understand the probable causes for their rarity. The University of British Columbia Botanical Garden staff works closely with the Conservation Data Centre in Victoria.
