Internet Directory for Botany: Conservation, Threatened Plants
The Internet Directory for Botany is a massive collection of links to Internet
sites around the world. The conservation and threatened plants pages include
many global conservation organizations as well as national organizations and
sites, grouped nationally.
Convention on
International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)
CITES is a program of the United Nations which lists threatened and endangered
species and requires permits for international trade. The Convention is widely
viewed as a conservation program, but most of its activities are in the form of
monitoring and regulating rather than outright banning of trade. Only those
species most at risk are banned from international trade, and the designation of
particular species as being Endangered can be strongly influenced by politics.
Fauna & Flora International
Flora and Fauna International (FFI) carries out conservation programs for
animals and plants around the world. They publish Oryx, a very good journal on
endangered species.

University of Guelph Fungi Page
It has some really awesome fungi shots, with a good deal of ecological info as
well, from my mycology prof at Guelph. There's also info on his just published
field guide to the fungi of Eastern Canada. Enjoy!
